The Chinese Chao gong is a superb sounding gong! The Chao is traditionally used for music, announcing high ranking officials and also for meditation. The Chao gong has a charcoal grey rim and a large polished playing area. It is much heavier than the Chinese Wind gong, and produces a very earthy, grounding quality with deep highs & low tones.
